Sewing Ministry
A new ministry for sewers, crafters and those who would like to learn.
This ministry is twofold; making clothes for the children of Haiti and
making witnessing dolls for children all over the world. All items will
be distributed by our FBCP mission teams The clothes will have pockets
and a wordless Bible will be enclosed in each item. The dolls are
constructed to be used to easily tell children about Jesus. This
ministry can be done at home, using a kit furnished by the ministry
and/or done at church starting February 22 anytime from 9:00 - 12:00 in
room S-220. Bring some sewing supplies and your coffee cup. Be sowers for the kingdom by sewing! For more information please contact Rose Stone at 477-2617 or Mary Wilson at 934-2871.
Items needed for this ministry are scissors, pins and needles, hem gauge, sewing machine, sergers, fabric (bold, bright colors - can use scraps as small as 1/4 yard), fabric markers, filler (for stuffing), yarn in colors suitable for doll hair, elastic cord, beads (black, red, white, blue, green, yellow), ribbon scraps (narrow width), and light gray thread.
