First Baptist Church, Pensacola, has a wonderful musical heritage. She is now in her "second 150 years" of sharing about Christ and his goodness. Through these years, this sharing has taken on many forms, but certainly music has been one of them.
Currently, we share musically through our choral music, our instrumental music and our congregational worship. The basis for everything we do within our Music Ministry is Psalm 33:3: "Sing to the Lord a new song, play skillfully, and shout for joy." I believe this one succinct verse lays the Biblical foundation for our three avenues of musical worship (choral, instrumental and congregational).
